All Ministry is about Transition

Available for Interim Clergy Leadership

I’m a 59-year-old priest ordained 22 years 10 months 2 days ago by the Rt. Rev. William D. Persell in Chicago. During a 2018 sabbatical, I discerned what Frederick Buechner calls “the place where deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet,” and began training as an interim minister to lead congregations through periods of change, self-examination, opportunity, and sometimes crisis.

At the end of June 2021, I completed my first interim call as Interim Rector of All Saints’ in Austin, Texas, and now am actively searching for my next call. If you are a diocesan deployment officer, I invite you to contact me directly. If you are a parish leader looking for an Interim Rector, I encourage you to discuss that with your diocesan deployment officer.

I’m based in Des Moines, Iowa, and my wife and I are available for temporary relocation for the right opportunity. I am eager to learn how skilled and experienced interim ministry might benefit a congregation under your care. Blessings and best.
